South Londoners Bamily have been making their mark on the modern indie-pop scene for a while. Their latest track, ‘Oh Damn’, continues on their path towards the perfect blend of pop, hip-hop, soul and disco. They explain that the release was “about that feeling of being swallowed. That feeling of thinking you’re totally alone and like you don’t have anyone there for you”. Musically, ‘Oh Damn’ juxtaposes the lyrical feeling with squelching basslines, hazy keys and an uplifting lead vocal. The four-piece have used their impressive energy to set up their own infamous Bamily Affair nights around London, which have seen the band play both live and DJ sets. - Dan Peeke
